Ultraviolet Detecting Beads

A fun way to learn about the power of sunlight. As well as making bracelets, pupils are able to carry out fun experiments investigating solar radiation, effectiveness of sun cream and sunlight. A science activity guide is included and allows children to carry out scientific investigations and learn about the effects of the sun on their health.

A bag of white beads which turn into many different colours when exposed to an ultraviolet light source. Ideal for observing UV radiation from the Sun. Beads are drilled so that they can be threaded onto pipe-cleaners or string. A great way to raise awareness of the health issues associated with exposure to the sun.
