Gesso is used to prime and size painting surfaces for oil paint and will provide a base with great ‘tooth’ and adhesion to surfaces such as canvas, wood and paper. It’s flexible, non-yellowing, won’t crack and can be mixed with oil paint to create a tinted or coloured ground.

Its viscosity ensures good coverage. Apply it on a clean and non-greasy surface. Dries quickly and has a light matt finish, which improves the adhesion of the oil layers.
