The beauty of using Montana Markers is that they provide a continuous flow of opaque acrylic paint, which makes them ideal for overlaying solid layers of colour. They can also be watered down when applied to a surface, producing a similar consistency and effect to watercolour.

These watery hues can then be worked into using a variety of pen nib thicknesses, depending on the style and size of your work. The firm spongy nib allows the paint to flow out evenly, creating a flawless finish unlike the prominent brush strokes that can be left in painting; therefore they are particularly suited to illustrative and graphic work.
